SOUTH MANCHESTER AND BERKHAMSTED

Senior Structural Engineers

The Role

  • Manage engineering designs in line with client requirements
  • Review designs produced by more junior staff
  • Taking a lead role in relation to the technical delivery of projects, and technical supervision and guidance to less experienced staff
  • Recognised point of contact for clients on projects
  • Along with the Director contribute to the day-to-day management and control of projects including financial management, compliance checks, environmental and health and safety procedures
  • Attend and conduct meetings.

Requirements

  • Degree Qualified in civil or structural engineering
  • Chartered or progressing towards MIStructE/MICE
  • Proven experience in technical competence, conducting meetings as well as proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proven experience working in consultancy environment
  • Knowledge of Industrial, Commercial or Retail projects
  • Good communication and people skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Experience of working with developers/contractors

 

SOUTH MANCHESTER AND BERKHAMSTED

SENIOR CIVIL/INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEERS

The Role

  • Design of civil engineering schemes associated with large developments throughout the UK
  • Client management including attendance at client and design team meetings
  • Recognised point of contact for clients on projects
  • Managing junior staff delivering infrastructure schemes
  • Mentoring junior staff and supporting their training and development
  • Input into financial control of projects, contributing to fee proposals and invoicing

Requirements

  • Competent user of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AutoTrack and (ideally but not essential) MicroDrainage/Causeway
  • Flow Experience of highway/drainage design associated with S278, S38, S104 agreements
  • Good communication and people skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Experience of working with developers/contractors

STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS

The Role

  • Producing engineering designs in line with client requirements
  • Working as part of a team on structural engineering schemes throughout the UK
  • Writing specifications and reports
  • Reviewing models, drawings and other design information prepared by other staff
  • Reviewing contractor design information and test results etc
  • Attending technical meetings and site visits where required
  • Providing guidance to less experienced staff

Requirements

  • Degree Qualified in civil or structural engineering
  • Progressing towards MIStructE/MICE
  • Minimum 2-3 years relevant experience
  • Good communication and people skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team

 

SOUTH MANCHESTER AND BERKHAMSTED

CIVIL / INFRASTRUCTURE TECHNICIANS

The Role

  • Working as part of a team on civil engineering schemes associated with large developments throughout the UK
  • Civil 3D design and ground modelling for private development site and highway schemes
  • Assisting with the preparation of design submissions for highway and drainage works (eg S278, S38, S104 etc)

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AutoTrack and (ideally but not essential) MicroDrainage/Causeway Flow
  • Minimum 2-3 years relevant experience
  • Good communication and people skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Enthusiasm to learn new skills and progress career
