Project Summary

Burrows Graham were appointed by St Modwen to undertake civil and structural engineering design services for three distribution warehouses on the site of a former steelworks in Newport, with combined floor area of 275,000 sq ft. Readie started work on site in October 2022 and are due to complete the project in August 2023.

Key Engineering Challenges

• Due to the previous site use, there were many obstructions in the ground that could not be removed and so the piling design had to be carefully co-ordinated to avoid the obstructions.
