Project Summary

Burrows Graham worked with Glencar to develop 4 industrial units carrying out the detailed civil and structural engineering design from planning stage. The earthworks, drainage and foundation design carefully considered the poor ground conditions and site levels were arranged to optimise a balance of material.

Key Engineering Challenges

• Poor ground conditions utilising rapid impact compaction (RIC) ground improvement techniques and driven precast piles.
• Significant earthworks remodelling to achieve cut & fill balance omitting export of material offsite with introduction of engineered reinforced earth embankments.
