Project Summary

Plot 4 completes the wider Barge Way/Fleet End development in Sittingbourne. The unit is being developed specifically for DPD to become the tenant and end user.

The development consists of a bespoke unit, with associated service yard to serve both HGV’s and van traffic. A specific internal layout with a series of conveyer systems are linked to the docks that serve dedicated ‘goods in’ and separately ‘goods out’ facilities.

• Bespoke end user requirements
• Proximity to two no. overhead power lines created logistical issues
• In-sit reinforced concrete works in lieu of precast elements
• Stability of unit given large number of level access door openings
