Burrows Graham provided geotechnical advice and design services in connection with this 1m sq ft project, comprising two warehousing units.

One of the development plots is situated over a former landfill. The building and part of the yard were fully piled to avoid excessive settlements with a surcharging solution to the access road to initiate settlement within the landfill material during construction.

The largest development plot required significant retaining wall structures to maximise the development plateau area. Various retaining wall types were designed to suit the site constraints, including sheet pile walls and reinforced earth structures.
